The Motions of the Earth, Moon and Sun

Learning Goals:
Students will be able to:

Explain that the Earth revolve around the Sun and the Moon revolves around the Earth
Explain that the Earth, Moon and Sun rotate
Explain that this all goes counterclockwise causing day/night, sunrise in the east and sunset in the west.
Explain how the tilt of the Earth on its axis, revolution around the Sun, indirect and direct light causes the seasons.
Explain how the phases of the Moon occur
Be able to draw and label those phases.
